Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a National Park located on the shore of Lake Superior in the central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The name is derived from the towering sandstone cliffs of the Munising formation which create a dramatic shoreline and coastal views, but there is also lots of great hiking in a variety of ecosystems and some gorgeous waterfalls to admire. It is a truly special place.
